Our aim is to overcome stigmatisation of the homeless and treat them without discrimination. There are many factors that have brought these people to the vulnerable position they are currently in today, ranging from substance misuse, addiction, and gambling to mental health and illiteracy. The majority of these factors are derived from family breakdown, chaotic lifestyles, inequality and domestic abuse. Due to these factors, many have spent their entire lives living in the streets. Our aim is to provide them long term accommodation, address their drug/alcohol use, tackle their health problems both physical and mental, manage their financial debt and reintegrate them back into society through sign posting them to other relevant agencies. In doing so, we will remove barriers making our society a better, safer place to be in. We know we can’t change the world over night, but as one wise man said, “Little people doing little things in little places everywhere can change the world”. We feel this is our part to play.
About us
Who We Are
Charity Organisation established in 2018
We are a charity determined to play our part in breaking the chains of homelessness holding so many people prisoner today. We, break the cycle trust, are at the forefront of this movement.
Charity begins at home and because of that we have decided to start by tackling homelessness in our local communities of Wakefield and Leeds by working in partnership with other organisation with aims of branching out in England and Wales. This will enable us to provide long term, safe and secure accommodation with tailor made support for the homeless helping to take one-person off the streets at a time
